I'm just glad there are still some of these games around instead of all the mindless games that you jump into and already know all about and can play through in a couple of hours. Uk has collected 5 expert reviews for Activision Apache: Air Assault PC and the average expert rating is 76 of 100. This game does have a good re-play action. The more real you make it, the harder it will be.
It does have a certain amount of controlled realism to flying the Apache. I use a ST290 joystick on a system with Win XP sp3, a HD4670 graphics card, 2gb ram, P4 extreme 3.4ghz (Old System), but a goodie! If you like helicopter combat sims then you Will Enjoy this game. The graphics are very decent and it's great fun blowing up targets and chasing enemies on the ground while shooting at them with your machine gun/cannon. I like the single player and haven't tried multiplayer at all, because I want to be able to play good before that. I think this game is good, and fun, but the missions do get very hard as you progress. Consoles see few flight simulators its a genre that enjoyed its heyday on the PC years ago but has only managed a few standout titles since then on any platform.
Been waitin’ on this one for a while This is the PC version, and I’m using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick and TrackIR.
AIM-92 Stinger: air-to-air missile developed from the shoulder launched FIM-92 Stinger system for use with Apache helicopters. This is the first mission in Apache Air Assault by Gaijin Software (makers of Wings of Prey). I like the single I don't agree with the critics. Skillful aviation game in which we pilot the title helicopter and perform dangerous missions in Africa, Latin America and the Middle. The Apache can carry up to 16 Hellfire missiles on its hard point wing stub pylons. I think this game is good, and fun, but the missions do get very hard as you progress.
